These words by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam truly explain the ambition of institution in opening new avenues in the field of management in Akola city by starting the Bachelors degree course in the field of Business Administration at under graduation level.

As a result of transformation in life philosophy, conventional education needs to be supplemented with professional outlook along with perfection, morale and business ethics.
Department of Business Administration was started in the college to achieve academic excellence in education with social values for uplifting the national progress and to fulfill the industry and business requirement by holistically developing future achievers/performers with the right knowledge, skills and attitude towards business and life. Our mission is to deliver quality education with balanced approach to theoretical and experimental learning.
Future Prospects of BBA: Bachelor of Business Administration is a job oriented professional degree course that truly reflects the reality of globalisation. This course is a desirable course for recruitment as middle level managers in multinational companies. It serves as a solid base for further higher studies in the field of management and administration. The B.B.A. degree is many times referred to a golden passport, since it gives its holder an edge in the job market by providing many opportunities. It helps the graduate to fulfill potentials for high earning, increased responsibility and greater personal development. This course also provides a nurturing ground for developing competent management professionals in tune with the business environment and emerging managerial needs and trains the students to become the best business minds and entrepreneurs.

To conduct an informative session and develop orientation towards management studies in the minds of 12th standard students, a Business and Management Quiz named “Talento Hunt Quiz Contest- Play Quiz Win Prizes” was organized by the students of the department on 27th   May 2010.

Welcome cum Orientation Programme:

The department of Business Administration every year arranges a welcome programme for the new entrants in our department i.e.  students of BBA Part I
7) Workshop on Employee Provident Fund Scheme: (Date: 11th August 2010)
A workshop was organized by the staff of the department on Employee Provident Fund Scheme on 11th august at 3.00 pm.
8) Mentoring system:
“College is the second home” and shouldering this responsibility, a mentoring system was adopted. Each faculty was allotted 21 students to take care of their academic results, attendance and other teaching learning queries.

The students have shown an overwhelming participation in the annual gathering function organized at college level. The students had participated in various programmes such as: Annual Sports Competition, Dance Competition, Essay, Singing Competition, Anand Mela

Stressing on the overall development of the students, 15 departmental committees were framed.
 
Departmental Activities and Achievements (2011-12)
The following are the academic and non-academic activities conducted during the whole year.
Business Management Quiz: Quiz activity was conducted for students of all classes of the course in order to inculcate the habit of focusing on concepts of syllabus as wells as general business knowledge.
Presentations: The students were motivated to give presentations on the subject topics of their study material using modern techniques of power point presentations. In all 50 presentations were conducted of all the classes.
Participation in National Conference: Vivek Pande & Anil Ravankar students of final year participated and presented their research paper on “Career Opportunities of Banking Sector”  in National Conference held on “Banking and Insurance in 21st Century” in presence of highly regarded and knowledgeable personalities.
Career Oriented Activities: Presentations were presented by faculties on the topics of “Appearing for interviews” and “Opportunities for BBA Students” to enlighten the students on abundant opportunities stored for them in future after completing Bachelor of Business Administration course.
Mock Interviews: In order to secure placements in reputed companies, mock interviews were conducted for the final year students giving them a taste of how interviews are taken by corporate and what approach the students should have while facing an interview.
Case Study: To provide a new approach to teaching methodology case study technique was adopted to have an interactive learning approach and practical implementation of the concepts.
Personality Development:  The students participated in personality development workshops held in the college for grooming their inter-personal and communication skills.
RBI Young Scholar Award: Vivek Pande student of final year appeared in Reserve bank of India’s young scholarship award examination offering scholarship to students and giving once in a lifetime chance to work on project with RBI.
Campus Placement: Two students of Final year Vivek Pande & Anil Ravankar secured placement in Infosys Technologies.
