Introduction
The department of microbiology came in to existence since the inception of the college. The department has been imparting the quality education in the field of microbiology. Department works for creating research interest among the students. The department has two full time qualified faculties constantly involved in teaching, research and extension activities. The department involves the students in various research activities and research projects completed by the students have been presented in conferences, seminar in the form of research papers. Faculties publish research papers in international and national journals.

The Self-evaluation of every department may be provided separately in about 3-4 pages, avoiding the repetition of the data.

     Opportunities--- Good research owing  to initiation of Doctoral research  facility which can lead to publications with significant impact factor and commercially important output,  Good scope for extension activity related with subject.
