Department of sociology has been started in the college with the aim to develop the Social attitude in students and aware the students about social problems & learn to tackle them as responsible citizen of society. The study of sociology builds the healthy society which develops the nation.

    1. In Prerana Ceremony on 1st August 2013 anchoring of the personality development programme was carried out.
    2. The rally was arranged  by sociology  deptt. in Collaboration with N.S.S. on Addiction on 1st Oct. 2013.
    3.  Social Sciences study club inauguration function was organized on 25th Sept. 2013 by the department The whole programme was conducted by the social sciences faculty. The inaugural guest was Dr.Santosh Thakre, Dean Deptt.of Social Sciences, SGBAU Amravati.
    4.   Visit to social institute Suryodaya Orphanage Malkapur,Akola. was organized on 1st Jan.2014 by SJJS committee. The students of Arts and Science faculty participated in the programme.
    5. The quiz contest for the arts faculty student was organized by sociology dept. on 21st  Dec.2012. The three groups of B.A.I, II, III were participated in the contest.
    6. Participated in the meetings of women’s security cell and member of advisory committee of N.S.S.
    7. In college Annual gathering the craft exhibition was conducted. Also worked as the judge of Quiz Contest.
    8. In N.S.S. Camp Group Discussion programme was carried out as resource person.
    9. The elocution competition was arranged by the arts faculty. The arrangement of prize distributon of both programmes was carried out. .
    10. In the college hostel monitoring committee as the member of committee the meetings were conducted.
    11. As the member of college exam committee participated in the main process of college test exam.
    12. As the member of SJJS the Student Welfare Fund was collected and distributed among the students.
    13. Participated in the meetings of college local management committee meetings as a member of the committee.
